Celebrations of Wonder 3

A Wondrous Moment in Time

The afternoon was overcast and a dense fog had descended. Looking out my window, all I could see was gray.

I was busy with something or other and a short time later, I chanced to look out the window again. The biggest, most brilliant rainbow I had ever seen ... in a complete 180 degree arc was directly outside my apartment.

I was awed by the magnificence of what I was seeing and as I looked closer at this most Wondrous of God’s creations ... I saw a second, much fainter rainbow above the first.

My heart began to smile (which for me, seems to be a special by-product of rainbows) and I experienced feelings of reassurance, comfort and a sense of joy.

Sometimes when we least expect it, we are provided with a moment of Wonder ... an opportunity to celebrate those precious moments of life.

I guess that’s a good reason to pay attention ... we never really know when something absolutely Wonder-full is going to come our way.
